N: Sweet nose - bubblegum up front, wood, light clay and earthiness. Light vanilla, a touch of marshmallow. Perfect wood. 

This has a really nice nose with polished wood, the type of nose you don't find on many current release bourbons. The palate starts rich, balanced and fairly dry. After that, it develops a strong, unpleasant acidic note which develops into a berry like finish.

Water is really good for this one. A few drops of water cuts the acidity and brings out spicy rye notes from nose to finish which complement the dry, woody notes and make for a really delicious drink. This is a really nice bourbon provided you add some water.

n: Ripe rich red berry jam and heavy oak. There is a creamy vanilla and cherry aspect to the nose that is very pleasing. Also milk chocolate covered walnuts; a very savoury and delicious dessert nose.

t: Heavy sherry influence, I love the intensity of the high ABV and the richness of the wood that dominates this dense whisky. Lacquered cherry wood and dry leather all swimming in a spicy chocolate concoction. The super long finish is of toffee, all-spice, and Luxardo cherries.

"Honestly this is borderline over-oaked, but that is what I really enjoyed about this; it's in your face and intense. This is a slow sipper that just a small pour will leave you happy and satisfied. I really enjoyed the intensity of this; it gets bonus point for being so extreme".  [A-/A]

n: Creme brulle.  Wood finish

p:  Sooty firewood and white pepper.  Vibrant and oily.  Quite tasty.
